The spa was not terrible. Useless shower, no lock at the toilet, cold water in the Jacuzzi, dirty windows. We were "upgraded" for a small amount (40€) to a "nicer" room in the castle in stead of the annex. No clue how the annex room was, but the castle room was acceptable - not more. Quite small, with a small bathroom, small TV-set and a large useless hall. ¨Nice window view though. Breakfast was ok but very expensive. Dinner was nice (gourmet style) but the cellar room becomes quite boring after an hour and the complete dinner took >2 hours.
very quiet and comfortable
the resturant is too expensive
Quiet, Relax, Very nice staff
The outstanding service of the staff at the Chateau, ALL were so helpful, corteus and polite. The food is absolutely delicious. The Chateau is beautiful, also the town and the area. The views from the bar, dinning and bedroom were so beautiful.
I didn't like the bedroom so much, the bed was a little hard, the room was small, old bathroom, and the "closet" is very old, with tiny space in the hallway, especially when you open the doors of it. Overall, the Chateau is wonderful.
The service was very good as was the accomodation..It was a good choice for a Birthday celebration.
The key to the door of room 34 was a nuisance to use.
the location, the view, the park, the silence, exterior swimming pool
1. breakfast very expensive, middle quality, bad service, no refill, staff was preparing the tables for supper with a lot of noise during the breakfast 2. The exterior of "Pavillon Nantilde" (backside) is not clean and a bit "slumlike", does not fit to the image of "chateau"
Liked the bar and dining terraces. Wonderful to sit and enjoy a glass of Alsatian wine (not going to try and spell it!) with some olives at the end of the day looking over the town and the valley,
Room felt dated, and staid and not in a positive luxury antique sort of way. Did not appreciate them setting up for a function at 2:30 am outside my door for the next morning.
Setting is beautiful with pool & gardens well maintained.
traditional rooms at 240 euro are looking a little tired in terms of bathrooms and bedroom fittings.
beautiful place.. good retaurant
The room does not make you feel you are in a castle!
Loved staying here - Loved the ambience of the rooms and lounge and the overall outlook from the hotel
Prices in the restaurant are quite expensive
To be honest nothing. The hotel needs to receive a great renovation. To old and appears to be left alone.
While a little pricey, the hotel offers an unusual experience in staying at a chateau in the middle of a lovely wine region. We received a room upgrade at no additional charge and our stay proved to be quite comforatble. The setting of the hotel is superb, on a hill overlooking the town and in the middle of vineyards. The excellent spa was an unexpected surprise
The chateau restaurant was a disaster for us. While the quality of the food was excellent, the service was abominable. First there was a mix-up on our order. When the wrong dish was presented, the server had the nerve to ask if we were sure we had not ordered it. At least the correct dish was promptly provided. Secondly, we are used to spending considerable time at table to enjoy a leasurely meal, but three hours to serve essentially three courses!! The final insult was the bill. Not only did it include the dish we had not ordered, but they double charged for a cheese course that was included with a menu selection. The attempted overcharge came to nearly 50 Euros. Tip? Forget it.The only bright spot was the sommelier who made an excellent wine recommendation.
Attractive and peaceful setting overlooking the village below and surrounded by vineyards. Comfortable lounge bar. Probably a great venue in good weather as superlbly placed for the wine route.
Sadly did not live up to our expectations. The bed was less than comfortable, having no duvet/s and poor quality pillows. The bathroom/toilet was extrmely small. Good spa facilities but sadly the sauna/steam room was not hot at 08:00 in a morning.
We were three persons and received an upgrade to the junior suite. This was very nice. The hotel is very nice, old though so with a chateau charm!
The food in the restaurant was for our taste not that great. Service however was very good.
Excellent Staff Well sited Attention to detail
Barely adequate bathroom facility Restaurant/Dining facilities far too Expensive - poor value for money Dated and in places rather shabby Certainly not what we would consider as 5 star
